A new Sheraton-branded hotel began construction within the Sheraton Addis compound, according to a report published on 26 October 2026. The development has an estimated total cost of up to US$116 million, with IFC financing disclosed at up to US$80 million for the wider project. The development is expected to add premium hospitality capacity in Addis Ababa.
