South Africa Launches Mpumalanga Skills Development Zone for Industry Workforce Training

On 29 October, South Africa launched its first Skills Development Zone in Mpumalanga to connect colleges, employers, government and training partners with workforce requirements in mining, manufacturing and the energy transition. The programme is designed to expand apprenticeships, internships, learnerships and reskilling, while the wider green-skills partnership is backed by a USD 1 million grant from the African Development Bank.
