Nepal Records NPR 16.23 Billion in First-Quarter Foreign Investment Commitments

On 29–31 October, Department of Industry figures showed that Nepal approved foreign investment commitments worth NPR 16.23 billion across 422 projects during the first quarter of FY 2026/27. The total included 252 information and communication technology projects, while tourism attracted NPR 6.08 billion across 108 projects and energy received NPR 4 billion across two projects. These are approved investment commitments, not confirmed cash inflows; reported actual foreign investment inflows in earlier periods have been lower than commitments.
